Minister of Industry and Technology, Mustafa Varank, paid a visit to the Optical Systems Research Laboratory (OPMER) of TUBİTAK Space Technology Research Institute (TUBITAK SPACE) in October 2018. The OPMER laboratories, having a critical importance in space optics, is one of the infrastructures under TUBITAK SPACE and planned for a grand opening alongside with the 100-day-action plan of the government.
TUBITAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, TUBITAK SPACE and SAGE directors have accompanied Minister Varank in this visit. Following the detailed presentation given by the TUBITAK SPACE director Dr. Lokman Kuzu, Mr. Varank took an extended technical tour to the OPMER laboratories and offered words of appreciation, stating “I congratulated the staff of the OPMER Laboratories for their excellent research work and the prototypes”.
