VOCALCORD
Detection of Vital Responses Against to Life in Space by Changes in the Vocal Cord
Haliç University
Prof. Dr. Gökhan AYDEMİR
The VOCALCORD - OXYGEN SATURATION experiments focus on developing an artificial intelligence system that runs on mobile devices to detect a number of diseases by analyzing respiratory, phonation and cough sounds on space missions.
The main driving point of the research is to investigate the effect of microgravity conditions on the vocal cords and oxygen saturation levels of crew members from their breath, phonation and cough sounds. By analyzing these changes, researchers aim to track the cardiovascular and respiratory responses of the astronauts during space missions.
