P2-ROTECT is the first FP7 project in Space area, that TÜBİTAK UZAY is involved in. It aims to assess the risk caused both by trackable and untrackable Space debris and to identify the most efficient ways of reducing the effect of Space debris in different orbits. The project started in March 2011 and will be finished in December 2013.


The THOR project will thematically focus on the design, development, application, testing and verification of new thermal management concepts which are specifically targeted to atmospheric entries of future space vehicles and hypersonic transport vehicles.


​The Consortium envisioned solution is GAMALINK, a two-year Project starting in January 2013, funded by the European Commission’s FP7 Programme and presenting an overall budget of nearly 2 million Euros.

A European Consortium of 6 institutions, with complementary experience in terrestrial communications and space technologies, proposes an innovative solution targeting low-cost standardised small satellite platforms.


EOPOWER is an EU 7th Framework Programme Environment Theme funded project. The project will last 24 months with 13 partners, starting from the 1st of June 2013. The purpose of the EOPOWER project is to create conditions for sustainable economic development through the increased use of Earth observation products and services for environmental applications. TÜBİTAK UZAY will be one of the workpackage leader.
