We took our place at our stand during the IDEF 2025 – International Defence Industry Fair held at the Istanbul Expo Center between July 22–27, to showcase Türkiye’s latest achievements in the defense industry and space technologies. We presented our portfolio of domestically developed satellites, shared the details of our ongoing projects, and laid the groundwork for strategic partnerships for the future.

At the fair, we introduced visitors to our national satellites, mission software, equipment, and space projects, including our sub-meter resolution Earth observation satellite, İMECE. We provided guests visiting our stand with information about our areas of activity and Türkiye’s space vision. We also introduced Tstar-GO Satellite Mission Operations Software, a fully national platform developed with domestic resources that integrates critical functions such as mission planning, command transmission, data reception, and analysis. Tstar-GO is actively used in both the İMECE and TÜRKSAT 6A projects.

Throughout IDEF 2025, we held productive meetings with numerous national and international institutions and organizations. These interactions allowed us not only to strengthen existing collaborations but also to explore partnership opportunities for new projects.

During the fair, we signed two significant agreements in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır. Within the scope of the Lunar Research Program, we launched a collaboration with Poloptech to develop a Vision-Based Navigation System. Additionally, we signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Sabancı University for the production of satellite structural panels.

The project initiated with Poloptech aims to develop a Vision-Based Navigation System capable of determining the position and orientation of a spacecraft using images taken from the lunar surface. This system, enriched by the experience gained during our first lunar mission, will serve as a mission-critical component during the soft landing phase of the second mission. Given the absence of real-time positioning systems in lunar orbit, the development of such a capability holds great importance for our space missions.

The memorandum signed with Sabancı University will enable us to continue our efforts to develop high-performance satellite aluminum and composite structures in collaboration with academic partners. This cooperation aims to accelerate technology development, strengthen university-industry interaction, and expand our pool of qualified human resources.

Throughout IDEF 2025, we had the honor of hosting many distinguished guests at our stand, including Chief of General Staff Gen. Metin Gürak, Air Force Commander Gen. Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, senior officials from the Presidency of Defence Industries, as well as representatives from countries such as the United States, China, and Saudi Arabia. We shared information on our satellites, ongoing projects, and technological capabilities.

Additionally, during the IDEF Talks sessions, the presentation titled “Use of Satellite Imagery in Defense and Border Security” by Dr. Kaan Kalkan, Remote Sensing Group Leader at TÜBİTAK UZAY, attracted significant interest from the participants.

We extend our sincere thanks to all our stakeholders who visited our stand, the participants who showed interest in our projects, and everyone who supported us during IDEF 2025.

With the technologies we have developed through national and domestic capabilities, we remain steadfast in our efforts to strengthen Türkiye’s independence in space and to position our country at the forefront of this domain.
