We proudly took our place at TEKNOFEST that is held in Adana on October 2-6, 2024. Throughout the event, we attracted visitors' attention by showcasing the models of two of Türkiye's most significant projects in space and satellite technologies: the İMECE and TÜRKSAT 6A satellites.
At our stand, visitors had the chance to closely observe the achievements of Türkiye in satellite technologies through the 1/2 scale model of İMECE, the first sub-meter resolution satellite of Türkiye, and the 1/3 scale model of our first national communication satellite, TÜRKSAT 6A. These models allowed participants to explore our projects in more detail. Additionally, our TÜRKSAT 6A and İMECE satellite model workshops offered visitors both an educational and enjoyable experience.
During the workshops, participants built their own satellite models while learning about Türkiye’s advancements in this field and our future projects. We organized approximately 100 workshops in total, producing nearly 2,000 satellite models and engaging with numerous participants. Our workshops, which were met with great enthusiasm, particularly from young people and children, aimed to increase their curiosity about science and technology while allowing them to learn through a creative process.
Our expert team members at the stand answered the questions of visitors about space and satellite technology. They provided detailed information about the indigenous space projects and had the opportunity to share the vision and goals of Türkiye in the space sector. Additionally, we guided young people interested in pursuing careers in space by offering advice on how to get involved in TÜBİTAK projects.
The workshops we held at TEKNOFEST Adana attracted not only children and young people, but also many adult visitors. Participants curious about the current status of progress of Türkiye in the space and satellite technologies domain visited our stand to learn more about our projects.
Throughout the event, our goal as TÜBİTAK was to raise awareness of science and technology across all segments of society and to keep the interest in the national space projects of Türkiye alive. In this regard, our participation in TEKNOFEST Adana was of great importance in helping us bring our work in space and satellite technologies to a wider audience.
