Türkiye is taking firm steps towards the targets set in line with the National Space Program (MUP), using its space technology infrastructure, which it has continuously strengthened for more than 20 years, and space applications, which it has rapidly disseminated in all sectors.

At the point we have reached today, TÜBİTAK UZAY is a leading organization with its expertise in both research and development and project management in achieving the goals of space exploration determined within the scope of the National Space Program (MUP).

With the Lunar Mission of Türkiye, it is aimed for Türkiye to be one of the few countries with a presence on the Moon. The first phase of the Lunar Research Program aims to establish the first contact with the Moon. In the second stage, the goal will be to reach the surface of the Moon and accomplish a soft landing.

Within the scope of the Lunar Mission of Türkiye, TÜBİTAK UZAY will use project management and system engineering capabilities ranging from the system development process to launch and operational use that it has acquired throughout the space technologies projects it has carried out to date.
