Turkish space studies are making waves on the international platform...
The winners of the FAI Awards, which are given with the aim of raising social awareness, are determined by evaluating their contributions, activities and projects in the fields of aviation and space. In previous years, internationally leading institutions such as The Central House of Aviation and Space of Russia (Russia) (2012), NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (The OMNI Project) (USA) (2006), TOPEX-POSEIDON GROUP (France) (1996) have received this award. This award is not only a concrete indicator of the contributions of Turkish space studies in the international arena, but also a proof that TÜBİTAK UZAY is among the recognized institutions in the international space sector.
The FAI Honorary Group Diploma was presented to Mr. Tamer BEŞER, Director of TÜBİTAK UZAY Institute, by Osman YILDIRIM, President of THK, at the celebration ceremony held on February 16, 2014 on the occasion of the 89th anniversary of the founding of THK. Tamer BEŞER.
