General Mehmet Erten, Commander of the Turkish Air Force, visited TÜBİTAK's booth at IDEF 2013, and stated that the Turkish Air Force is proud of TÜBİTAK's projects.

Participating in the 11th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF), TÜBİTAK was the center of attention with its indigenously developed projects. Local and foreign guests visited TÜBİTAK's booth and had the opportunity to closely examine the products, each of which is one of Turkey's firsts.

General Mehmet Erten, Commander of the Turkish Air Force, visited the TÜBİTAK stand and received information about the products on display from Özgür Tontu, Director of TÜBİTAK SAGE, and Tamer Beşer, Director of TÜBİTAK UZAY.

Speaking highly of TÜBİTAK's projects, Erten said that the Turkish Air Force is proud of TÜBİTAK's projects. Erten said that they attach special importance to institutions and organizations in the defence industry in Turkey, but that TÜBİTAK has a different value, adding, "TÜBİTAK produces information and technology with completely domestic means. We trust them and believe that they will fulfill our expectations."

During the visit, General Erten took a souvenir photo in front of the original size model of the GÖKTÜRK-2 satellite, and was presented with a plaque by TÜBİTAK SAGE Director Özgür Tontu and TÜBİTAK UZAY Director Tamer Beşer.
