We took our place with great excitement at TEKNOFEST Akdeniz, which was held in Adana between October 2-6, 2024. During the event, we attracted the attention of our visitors by exhibiting İMECE and TÜRKSAT 6A satellite models, which are Turkey's most important projects in the field of space and satellite technologies, at our TÜBİTAK stand.
The 1/2 scale mock-ups of İMECE, Turkey's first national satellite with sub-meter resolution, and 1/3 scale mock-ups of TÜRKSAT 6A, our first indigenous communication satellite, which we brought to our booth, offered our visitors the opportunity to get to know Turkey's success in the field of satellite technologies closely. Through these models, our participants had the chance to examine our projects in more detail. We also provided visitors with an educational and enjoyable experience with our TÜRKSAT 6A and İMECE satellite model workshops.
In our workshops, participants made their own satellite models and learned about Turkey's progress and future projects in this field. In total, we organized nearly 100 workshops and made nearly 2,000 satellite models and presented them to the participants. Our workshops, which attracted great interest especially from young people and children, aimed to increase their curiosity about science and technology and to enable them to learn through a creative process.
Our expert team members working at our stand answered visitors' questions about space and satellite technology. While sharing detailed information about Turkey's national and domestic space projects, we had the opportunity to explain our country's vision and goals in the field of space. In addition, we also had the chance to guide young people who want to pursue a career in the field of space about the paths they should follow to take part in TÜBİTAK projects.
The workshops we organized during TEKNOFEST Akdeniz were not limited to children and young people, but also attracted great interest from our adult visitors. Participants curious about Turkey's work in the field of space and satellites visited our booth and had the chance to get detailed information about our projects.
During the event, TÜBİTAK aimed to raise awareness of science and technology in all segments of society and to keep interest in Turkey's national space projects alive. In this context, our participation in TEKNOFEST Mediterranean was of great importance in terms of bringing our work in the field of space and satellite technologies to a wider audience.
