As TÜBİTAK UZAY, we participated in the Defence Industry Artificial Intelligence Summit, organized for the first time this year by the Defence Industry Artificial Intelligence Talent Cluster (SAYZEK). The summit, which was held on November 7-8, brought together many experts and participants, and discussed the contributions of artificial intelligence to the defence industry and the opportunities it will provide in the future through various panels and presentations.

Among the main objectives of the summit were to develop artificial intelligence technologies in the defense industry, create a strong synergy in the sector and encourage information sharing.

Moderator Prof. Dr. Aydın Alatan opened the last session of the summit, titled "Next Generation Image Processing Applications", by presenting the history of the Naval Platform Recognition (NPT) Project, which was realized by TÜBİTAK UZAY in 2003 and was the first of its kind in Turkey, and the developments that followed this project.

The panel was closed by Dr. Mehmet Ali Arabacı, Leader of the Image Processing Group of our institution, who introduced the artificial intelligence applications carried out at TÜBİTAK UZAY to the audience. The event ended with a family photo shoot.
