TÜBİTAK UZAY participated in the inaugural Defense Industry Artificial Intelligence Summit, organized by the Defense Industry Artificial Intelligence Capability Cluster (SAYZEK) this year. Held on November 7-8, the summit gathered numerous experts and participants to discuss the role of artificial intelligence in the defense industry and the future opportunities it offers through various panels and presentations.
The summit’s main objectives included advancing artificial intelligence technologies within the defense sector, fostering strong synergy in the field, and promoting knowledge sharing.
The final session, titled "Next-Generation Image Processing Applications," was opened by Moderator Prof. Dr. Aydın Alatan, who introduced the 2003 Maritime Platform Recognition (DÜPT) Project, carried out by TÜBİTAK UZAY as the first of its kind in Türkiye, along with a historical overview of subsequent advancements in this area.
The session concluded with a presentation by TÜBİTAK UZAY's Image Processing Group Leader, Dr. Mehmet Ali Arabacı, who showcased the artificial intelligence applications developed at TÜBİTAK UZAY. The event wrapped up with a group photo.
