Turkey's Progress in Space Research at Tiandu Forum 2024

We attended the Tiandu Forum 2024 - 2nd International Deep Space Exploration Conference held in Huangshan, China between September 4-6, 2024. At the conference, TUBITAK UZAY Institute Director Mehmet Nefes made a presentation about Turkey's Moon Mission. The conference provided a platform for cooperation for large-scale scientific projects in the field of deep space exploration and was attended by academics and high-level representatives from around the world.

During the presentation, TÜBİTAK UZAY's know-how in space technologies and research was emphasized, while information about Turkey's Lunar Mission was shared with the participants. Nefes emphasized the steps Turkey has taken in the field of space and its future goals, and stated that the Lunar Mission is of great importance in terms of showcasing Turkey's scientific and technological capacity in the international arena.

In the presentation, it was stated that the collaborations with international institutions and universities within the scope of Turkey's Lunar Mission will form an important basis for future space missions for scientists and research institutions, and through these collaborations, Turkey's ambition in the field of space and its determination to take part in international platforms were emphasized.

TÜBİTAK UZAY participated in the Tiandu Forum with a delegation consisting of representatives from the Business Development and External Relations Group, Integrated Circuit Design Group and Propulsion Systems Group, as well as the Institute Management. Within the scope of the conference, the TÜBİTAK UZAY delegation held productive meetings with experts from different countries on deep space exploration.
