A workshop on Earth Observation Satellites was held at our institute on June 07, 2012 with a delegation of 7 people from the Japanese NEC Corporation and TÜBİTAK UZAY employees. Following the presentation introducing TÜBİTAK UZAY, NEC Corporation officials made presentations on 5 different topics. Starting with the introduction of NEC Corporation, the presentations covered the state of the Japanese space field, SAR and hyperspacral satellites, different earth observation solutions they have developed and their application areas. In the question and answer session following the presentations, employees of the Electronic Design Department and Satellite System Design Department of our Institute and NEC officials made mutual evaluations on the satellite technologies in question.
