SAHA EXPO 2024, which was held at the Istanbul Expo Center between 22-26 October 2024, brought together important representatives of the defense, aerospace and space industries. As TÜBİTAK UZAY, we took our place at this event to present our projects and products in the field of satellite and space technologies.

During the fair, we showcased models of our İMECE and TÜRKSAT 6A satellites, and provided visitors with detailed information about these projects. We also introduced our critical technologies, including Reaction Wheel, Star Tracker, Sun Sensor, Power Conditioning Units, Electric Propulsion System, and Steerable Antenna, which are among our satellite equipment. TÜBİTAK UZAY stand attracted great interest from visitors who wanted to closely examine our technological products, and visitors had the opportunity to share their questions directly with our experts. One of our well-received products at the fair was "BALİSTİKA," a ballistic analysis system developed by TÜBİTAK UZAY. Visitors were provided with comprehensive information about the system's features and areas of use.

At our stand, two signing ceremonies were held in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Technology, M. Fatih Kacır. One of these was a cooperation protocol signed between TÜBİTAK UZAY and TÜRKSAT in the field of satellite and space technologies. This agreement aims to strengthen joint efforts in Türkiye’s domestic satellite projects. Following this, the Wide-Angle Camera Agreement was signed between TÜBİTAK UZAY and Poloptech as part of Turkish Lunar Mission, marking a significant step toward deploying critical technology in the mission.

At our stand within the Türkiye Pavilion, we shared information about our optical systems and satellite projects, highlighting our country's capabilities in the space sector. In the Space Talks area located within the pavilion, TÜRKSAT 6A Project Manager Cevher Levent Ertürk made a presentation on the development process and current status of Türkiye's first indigenous communication satellite, TÜRKSAT 6A.

During the event, Mehmet Nefes, Director of TÜBİTAK UZAY took part in a panel discussion on innovations and cooperation opportunities in the field of space technologies. In his speech, Nefes conveyed important messages about Türkiye’s steps in space exploration and our vision for the future.

Throughout SAHA EXPO, we had the opportunity to hold productive discussions on collaboration prospects with numerous local and international companies, taking positive steps toward technological partnerships.

As TÜBİTAK UZAY, we would like to thank all the visitors for the great interest shown in our Institute and our work areas, and we hope to meet again in future collaborations.
