The countdown has begun for TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, which was organized for the first time last year and is the second largest aviation event in the world with more than 550 thousand visitors. The excitement of TEKNOFEST, which swept Turkey off its feet in September, is starting again.

Within the scope of TEKNOFEST, which aims to raise awareness about technology and science throughout the society and to increase Turkey's human resources trained in science and engineering, technology competitions are organized in 15 different categories to support young people to work on the technologies of the future.
The competitions, which are open to middle school, high school and university students, include categories for today's technologies such as rockets, unmanned underwater systems and unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as future technologies such as flying cars and driverless cars.
Applications for the technology competitions, where the winning teams will be awarded over 2 million TL in total, will continue until February 28, 2019 via teknofestistanbul.org.
In addition to prizes worth over 2 million TL, technical consultancy and material support for their projects are also awaiting the competing teams.
In its first year, TEKNOFEST succeeded in becoming the most important aviation and technology event not only in Turkey but also in the region. Last year, TEKNOFEST competitors included drone racers from 25 countries, white hat hackers from 24 countries and technology entrepreneurs from 83 countries. This year, applications of foreign teams for competitions within the scope of TEKNOFEST are also being accepted.
