On 9 February 2026, the Hungary Representation Office of the Türk Devletleri Teşkilatı (Organization of Turkic States – OTS) paid a visit to our Institute.
During the visit, discussions were held on further strengthening the existing cooperation between Türkiye and Hungary in the fields of space research and space technologies. Potential strategic partnership opportunities between the two countries’ space ecosystems were also explored.
As part of the program, a comprehensive presentation was delivered outlining our Institute’s ongoing projects, technical infrastructure, and engineering capabilities. Information was also shared regarding completed collaborations with Hungary and ongoing engagements.
Particular emphasis was placed on potential cooperation opportunities that could be developed through the HUSAT satellite program and the activities carried out by Hungary-based REMRED Space Technologies Ltd. and its parent company 4iG Space and Defence Technologies. The plans of 4iG to launch and operate geostationary (HUGEO) and low Earth orbit (HULEO) satellites by 2032 were also discussed.
In this context, the proposals submitted by our Institute under various tenders-covering system engineering, power subsystems, satellite operations, and ground station work packages were highlighted, along with our vision for international partnerships. The visit was considered a productive engagement in terms of advancing the dialogue between Türkiye and Hungary toward concrete cooperation projects in the field of space technologies.
