Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Dr. Faruk Özlü visited TÜBİTAK UZAY Technologies Research Institute on October 19, 2016.
Institute managers, Group Leaders, Project Managers, Project Managers, Project Technical Leaders and Unit Officers attended the meeting held in the BTYK Meeting Hall of our Institute and had the opportunity to introduce themselves to the Minister.
During the visit, Institute Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lokman Kuzu made two separate presentations introducing TÜBİTAK UZAY and the TÜRKSAT 6A Project.
Mr. Minister stated that Mr. President is closely interested in the TÜRKSAT 6A Project, that TÜBİTAK UZAY has a great responsibility in this matter and that we should work day and night to finalize the Project.
The GÖKTÜRK2 model prepared in memory of the Minister's visit was presented to the Minister by Prof. Dr. A. Arif Ergin, President of TÜBİTAK.
Afterwards, he went to the Ground Station, where he was informed about the operating system of satellites, satellite image acquisition and image processing by Specialist Researcher Bülent Avenoğlu, Ground Support Systems Group Leader. Here, the image of Düzce taken by the RASAT Satellite was presented to him in a framed manner.
He said that he would always stand by TÜBİTAK UZAY, that the work carried out so far was admirable and that we should work hard for the TÜRKSAT 6A Project and left the Institute. The fact that the Minister stayed at the Institute for such a long time, met our colleagues who attended the meeting individually and listened to their problems and suggestions was also welcomed by the employees.
