As TÜBİTAK UZAY Space Technologies Research Institute, we showcased Türkiye’s capabilities in space technologies, our ongoing projects, and our strategic vision to national and international stakeholders at SAHA EXPO 2026.

At our TÜBİTAK UZAY booths located within the TÜBİTAK stand and the Türkiye Pavilion, we hosted esteemed ministers of our country, commanders of the armed forces, foreign and military delegations, corporate visitors, and industry representatives.

Throughout the exhibition, we provided visitors with information about the Institute’s fields of activity, our ongoing R&D studies, our technical infrastructure in satellite technologies, and our work related to Türkiye’s space projects. At our booths, we exhibited scale models of the Lunar Space Vehicle, İMECE, TÜRKSAT 6A, GÖKTÜRK-2, and RASAT satellites, along with various satellite equipment. We also introduced visitors to the Tstar-GO and BALİSTİKA projects, highlighting our capabilities in mission operations, ground systems, satellite subsystems, communication technologies, optical systems, deep space missions, and ballistic imaging and image processing technologies.

Throughout SAHA EXPO, we held numerous meetings with national and international stakeholders. During these meetings, we evaluated our ongoing activities, potential areas of cooperation, joint project opportunities, and new areas of collaboration in space technologies.

Within the scope of the event, we also signed significant cooperation agreements on behalf of TÜBİTAK UZAY. These included:

  • A cooperation protocol with ROKETSAN in the field of space technologies,
  • A gyroscope equipment supply contract with ASELSAN within the scope of a high-resolution satellite constellation development project,
  • A cooperation agreement for a domestic and national small satellite development project to be carried out under the leadership of TÜBİTAK UZAY in collaboration with ROKETSAN, Poloptech, Vision-X, Naum Technologies, and Düzce Technopark under the Ministry of Industry and Technology’s Pre-Competitive Cooperation Projects call.

Our Institute Director, Mehmet Nefes, served as moderator of the panel titled “Smart and Autonomous Space Systems: Transformation and Global Trends in Satellite Technologies” held within the scope of the event. The panel addressed smart and autonomous space systems, the transformation of satellite technologies, global trends, and Türkiye’s vision in this field.

At SAHA EXPO, we also introduced simulation goggles developed for the Eskişehir Traffic Police Training Center of the General Directorate of Security Traffic Department. The system was designed to safely simulate conditions affecting driving perception and attracted significant interest from visitors. Participants had the opportunity to experience potential situations affecting driving safety through hands-on use of the system.

Through the meetings, presentations, and partnerships established during SAHA EXPO 2026, we shared Türkiye’s engineering capabilities and strategic vision in space technologies on an international platform, while continuing our efforts with determination to develop new technologies and projects that will contribute to our country’s goals in the field of space.
